exxos wrote: Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:43 am So @troed , if I can borrow/buy/swap your 1MB sets then I can give them a try.
Just tell me what you want and I'll send them - but I don't have full sets of the 1MB ones :(

Re: WANTED - 1MB 100/120ns simms 30 pin

exxos wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:05 pm So I basically need.

4x 1MB simms 100ns,120ns,150ns.

I have to have the full 4MB set of all the same speed ratings.
These are all SIMMs I have with those speeds if you can't find better matches.

Re: Sidequest: VGA scan doubler

The actual scandoubler part works great. It falls apart when it comes to keeping track of wlthe scanline number, and how many pixels are on each line. Those numbers seem to get noisy or they don't work at all. Very annoying. This makes no sense. I assume you're resetting the lines every VBL? If so ...

Re: VR177x (WD1772 replacement)

Surprising that Gotek has pin 2 as an output. In the spec (and in the world of real floppy drives) it's an input. However, it should work fine modifying the drives we know how to do it on - so this would support real drives too, https://blog.troed.se/2017/01/20/the-tale-of-high-density-atari-mystery/

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com

Yeah this is correct. The big email providers blackhole others for any and no reason. It's one of the reasons I use ProtonMail - they're playing fair.

It sucks but I'd advice everyone to stop using the big email providers. You never know what mails you don't get.

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com

If you can integrate fail2ban with those blocks that might help in cutting down on the tries as well. Will still need the system to detect and block some signups first though.

Re: Today's server problems

Install trafik/prometheus/grafana and keep some dashboards showing you your server stats/health. Most people overpay a lot for servers.

I run a home server with 4 cores, SSD and 32GB RAM. It's not even at half load and it's running _lots_ more than you are from what I can see :/
