Do you know if both types existed in 1987 or so?

Nice to see it a bit more mainstream, I used to do SETI a long time ago when the fastest CPUs were about 1ghz so thats how long ago :P I don't think my PC would be upto it now :lol: I assume they can use GPUs now that will be loads better :) I immediately thought of SETI that I was into as well :)

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

We managed to switch over 10K+ Win7 computers to Win10 with months to spare. What a hassle though... We're still in the process and AFAIK have extended support due to the number of VDIs. I'm lucky, I came straight in on Win10, but I don't envy the teams doing the migration. Good job in getting them...

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

@exxos Don't forget Windows 7 is officially over as of 14th January, see here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4057281/windows-7-support-ended-on-january-14-2020 So updates will disappear, unless you have an enterprise environment and are paying for extended support. Re: It's that time of year again...

Haven't had any snow at any time this year...in Finland. Although I'm in the very South-West, we usually get some snow for some periods in the winter. This is highly unusual...

Re: Earlier 1992 Falcon revision

This is indeed amongst the first units produced. According to the very comprehensive guide: https://mikrosk.github.io/clockpatch/history.html

B5 = First batch
2A = October 1992, first production month
0 = Pilot production
3 = PALB
000253 = Apparently the 253rd unit produced

Re: C070243 REV.C - Atari 260ST (1Mb) - Strange

Re: TT Boot Logo

The offset is not quite right, and also depends on the language of the TOS. For TOS 3.06(us), the logo starts already at $35fe8. The table below should give the absolute address for all (official) tos versions (subtract $e00000 to get the file offset): 306us: e35fe8 306de: e36018 306fr: e36036 306u...
