Re: TF1260 stuff

I don't know much about PIO-4 (so the other potential benefits) but the speed boost certainly looks very good.

Could a minimal boot disk to activate the TF1260 IDE be done off a floppy? Well more likely a USB .adf file in a Gotek :)

Re: TF1260 stuff

Legend has it that 20 TF1260 cards have been built:

3 for the TF builder kings
7 for Scottish Amiga User Group lords
9 for exxos mortal forum members
And
1 for the Terriblefire Lord, the creater of the one true firmware.

Why are rechargeable AA/AAA batteries 1.2v not 1.5?

This has been going round my brain for years, and as we are doing a household inventory of batteries I saw it again and reminded me why are rechargeable batteries not 1.5v? I guess there is probably a 'oh, I see' reason. But surely they can make them any voltage. It just seems like your short-change...

Re: TF1260 stuff

If not worried about CDROM. these would be a nice and neat solution that allows easy access to CF cards. I use the backdoor hatch( :o ) adapter on my A1200's. I think the new A1200.net have cuts outs marked for the angled side adapter.

Re: TF1260 stuff

This is what I call silicon enhanced. Yummy. I was just wondering about the onboard IDE after looking at the unpopulated headers of those Scottish User Group cards. I guess it would be best to run a CDROM off the A1200 IDE and the TF1260 for main HDD? I have a slimline CDROM with SATA? to IDE adapte...

No problem. With all the pins I find them perfect for brushing the cat  With one in each hand the jobs done in a jiffy.

That Chucky likes dropping in those subtle TF jokes in his recent videos. Very dead pan delivery :)

@terriblefire You might have already sorted out all your Scottish Amiga Users Group buddies, but if your needing a full Rev 6 I have a spare for trade.
