Re: VAT charges to EU states

My economics are different... most orders are £20-30 (goods) so €10-15 import charge is a killer. Plus there are plenty of other people doing Amiga hardware... not so much the Acorn stuff but that isn't very popular in Europe except for The Netherlands it seems - hello all my Dutch friends! :)

Re: VAT charges to EU states

I guess the EU trade will fall off from my store, though if people really want the stuff, they will either have to pay it, do without, or look for alternatives. Losing all EU customers would be a huge blow, but I don't think it would be enough to shut me down. UK and USA are my largest markets. Sad...

Re: VAT charges to EU states

Let me know if you get charged.. I mean I could understand VAT + "Admin" charges.. but this shouldn't happen as EU & UK are supposed to have a deal now... if people are getting billed, then we can't have and its a load of BS. The deal is a (mostly) zero tariff deal - that is all. It is not a free t...

Re: VAT charges to EU states

What always pi**ed me off was import vat included being charged on the postage as well. I would also assume under the new tax collection rule that vat is on goods only and not postage.. Will have to keep a eye out for that from now on... Will try and find some goods to buy to see what it totals ......

Re: PLD SDRAM controller ?

I need to do the address decoding in the thing, so thats 23 address lines gone right off the bat. You don't necessarily need to route all the address lines through the CPLD. You need the SDRAM address lines to set up the mode but you can externally MUX the address with 74 series buffers and just ha...

Re: PLD SDRAM controller ?

I have done a very low resource one for the A500 trapdoor and a higher resource one in my dev A500 fast RAM/accelerator (thread on this forum). It's mostly state machine(s) TBH. You need to initialise the RAM & set the mode (sets cas latency and burst mode). Then you need to precharge, activate, rea...

Re: EPROM chips for TOS replacement Atari ST

EPROM - Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory. Usually erasable with UV light, which is what I tend to use. They are often in ceramic packages which seem to be a bit more robust when it comes to a lot of handling. I assumed they never put EPROMs with quartz windows in plastic packages because the ...

@exxos One more thing sorry, should a SSP6N60A be compatible with a SSP6N60? I can't seem to find a seperate datasheet to distinguish them.
