I bought a ZeroPlus lap-C about 5 or 6 years back. I got a 16 channel one and apparently it is hackable up to the full 32 channel one by soldering in the missing buffers but I haven't opened it. It's been plenty good for the things I do. YMMV

Instead, using a hex editor, I patched Xilinx's libPortability.dll to cause the network share enumeration always to fail, without even calling the function that hangs. That has fixed iMPACT, the Project Navigator (IDE), and the other Xilinx programs for me. I did not observe any immediate side-effe...

Normally there is a sticker on the die cast frame of the drives... can't say I recognise those from the photos. They don't look like the rotting TEC ones I've fixed in the past. Hopefully you can get the motor going else you could fit a Gotek in the hole. The black plastic 3.5"/5.25" adapt...

Which mechanism is in the drive enclosure? One of them with the thin latch (TEC maybe) is notorious for bad caps on the control board leaking. TEAC and Mitsubishi mechanisms are better.
