Re: For Sale: 27C400 EPROM emulators (beta) issue D

PCBs delivered today from JLCPCB. I got a jigsaw as a pack in gift. Quick look at the PCBs under the microscope and they look fine. Better hole registration than the last lot where some of the vias were broken out. These are pretty central on the 0.2/0.5mm vias. Shame they didn't hide the order code...

Re: Got a Greaseweasle and now I'm clueless.

Thanks guys. Before I continue, does the triangle marked on the floppy disk drive indicate PIN 1 or PIN 34? I have only ever seen pin 1 marked. Often by a dot on a PCB or square pad and a triangle on the IDC connector plastic which lines up with the red or stripped pin 1 IDC wire. Sometimes you get...

Re: For Sale: 27C400 EPROM emulators (beta) issue D

When do you need firm numbers by? I think there is enough interest for me to just order up some more PCBs and pin headers. Much of the first batch ended up in Amigas but I'm always interested to see where people use them. They make a good MOS switcher in the Acorn Master but I hadn't thought to use...

Re: For Sale: 27C400 EPROM emulators (beta) issue D

Is there any interest from forum members for more of these?

I've been asked for a few by people but I'm out of PCBs so I'd have to order more. I'm trying to gauge if it is worthwhile ordering more PCBs and parts.

Yes I could do that if you strike out finding an Apple specialist who can do a proper repair. I would just be able to swap the chip - that is all, no testingg, no diagnostics.

Re: verilog counter ?

Do you want something like this: reg [3:0] delay; always @(posedge clk) if (synchronous_reset) delay<=4'b1111; else delay <= (delay >> 1); wire enable_n = delay[0]; Untested typed in 30s... but what it should do is reset delay to all ones. Then when the reset goes away the delay will shift right unt...

Re: TQFP Soldering Gods Required! (PAID WORK)

TQFP is fine really. You can even do them without a microscope and inspect them after with a magnifier. A hoof tip on the soldering iron, good flux, a microscope and practice make it pretty easy though. On a rare card I'd cut the old chip legs to minimise risk to the PCB removing the cracked package...
