Re: C-Lab Falcon Audio mod C26 and C79?

I made a PDF out of these instructions, to make everything a bit more neatly arranged. I added the missing parts C26, C79, C613, C614. So the actual modification dealing with the SMD parts should be complete now, as shown in Rev. L schematics. The eleven ceramical caps dealing with filtering and stu...

Re: C-Lab Falcon Audio mod C26 and C79?

Finished it now and... it works! :yay: The missing caps on R124 and R131, well, actually I did a triple-sandwich now! Worked quite good and overall height is not bigger than the tantalum caps. No significant (if any?) changes on output. Couldn't even say, if bassboost is there or not. Maybe I have t...

Re: C-Lab Falcon Audio mod C26 and C79?

Steve This came to my mind, but I think I'll leave that for now and do it only when necessary. Btw. I should have done re-capping before this audio mod, as several filtering ceramics are directly soldered to some electrolytics. Well, at least C6 and C24 are new (the ones which were soldered in with...

Re: C-Lab Falcon Audio mod C26 and C79?

I would have gone with ceramics though. Tantalums tend to catch fire. Really? If you put them in with wrong polarity, or even with correct orientation? :o I photographed and wrote in detail about the following Clab board if it helps: https://exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=3809 Also...

C-Lab Falcon Audio mod C26 and C79?

I'm just in the process of doing the C-Lab audio mod to my Falcon. Today I (almost) finished the bottom side with all SMD changes, the "standard" 10K resistor and the four ceramic caps between audio ports and the filters L33-L38. What remains to do on this side is changing the two caps C26...

Re: Falcon cap C6 incorrect polarity?

@HigashiJun if you want to leave C6 the wrong way... yes, no need for further action. ;)

@exxos Thanks for this very good explanation!

Re: A1200 + TF1260 - OS + MMuLibs

You might also take a look on the hardware side of things. Means the mentioned (at http://tf1260.com/ ) E123C and E125C should be removed, if populated. Amiga04.jpg Also E121C and E122C should not be in there (weren't in my A1200 Rev. 1D.1). Amiga03.jpg When I bought my A1200 with TF1260, it crashed...

Re: Falcon cap C6 incorrect polarity?

And here's what my multimeter has to say about that: ;) Falcon_C6-cap_voltage.jpg Although the picture in first post is from me, someone else from german atari-home.de forum stumbled over this issue a year ago. I just confirmed (and fixed ^^) it. https://forum.atari-home.de/index.php/topic,16690.0.h...

Re: Meanwell

go0se very nice solution with this bridge/mount PCB! 8-) A recently got an A1200 unfortunately with a defective PSU. The first thing I did when putting in a MW RT-50B in the PSU case was, to flip over positions of the cables! Means, the Amiga connection now is on the side with the switch, the power...
