Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

Yeah... ok... just looks a bit blurry... that's all. All this effort for wireless keyboard, gamepad, gotek, USB, RTC, etc, but the display is a bit 80%, if you know what I mean? No, not really. I don't know what you mean. Video buffer is there for a very good reason, tiny reduction in quality is ve...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

Was there any progress to the quality of the RGB video output? It looked like the picture was either too bright or too fuzzy/blurry? After installing right resistor values display is really good. Brightness had to be adjusted on my tv a little and that's it. If someone was looking for ultimate pref...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

I have refactored keyboard class a little, now long waits between sending separate keycodes (measured in ms) are handles by timer and low priority timer interrupt, but waits measured between signal and clock changes is (measured in us) is how it was. Changing everything to timer handled irq would be...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

A5 is wired direct to pin 11 on the ARM on rev2. PIN 34 on the arm could be used for a chip select ... its just used to flash an LED right now... it could do both. The UART on ARM pins 53/54 .... do you ever use these? i imagine they're useful for debug? Otherwise they can be repurposed. We may asw...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

... The GoTek/FF needs a think. I really think that having buttons on the riser is daft because its supposed to be a living room type device. ... Have you seen FF-OSD ? I use this on my A500 and it works really well. I'm guessing your riser has all the needed signals . I don't think it would be pos...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

terriblefire INTSIG on CPLD side looks busy, it could be cut down, but I don't have enough Address lines to decode address for some of the register addresses. They do overlap unfortunately. output INTSIG1, //RTC Interrupt line output INTSIG2, //Buttons Interrupt output INTSIG3, // A3 line output IN...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

planned features of the riser: 1. DB23 out 2. 2 USB slots, one for KB+mouse, another for 2 pads? 3. RTC w/ battery 4. onboard audio decoder chip? 5. maybe wifi too? (or did you drop that?) 6. flashfloppy support via USB? (is that "only" software?) I'd be super happy with 1, 2, 3 4, 5 would be nice ...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

@terriblefire Is there a standard for communication on those cards at all, or are they have proprietary drivers? Do we have anything to start looking at? The best source of information will be WinUAE sources. The Prelude 1200 is probably the best choice but i've only spent 10 mins thinking about it...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

Well..this will need quick ide access, since mp3 are usually stored on hdd..🤔 For mp3 it would need to be 16-24KB per second. With current theoretical setup (not measued though) I think we should be able to get about 1MB/s (1 Byte per microsecond Edit So question is how much slowdown hdd would intr...
