Re: Floppy Stops working with megafile connected.
I'm not sure what you mean by the ASCI port being fully buffered. Basically, it means that there's a component which takes the input from one side and then retransmits the value to the output side with no direct electrical connection between the two. It means that any incorrect (low or high) voltag...

Re: Floppy Stops working with megafile connected.
Does the megafile work on a different ST ? Maybe the megafile is just faulty... ? Unfortunately, I do not know if it is. I don't have another atari to test it with. I had the same with the STFM I've been working on to fit the TF536, but with an UltraSATAN rather than Megafile. Changing the motherbo...

Re: Floppy Stops working with megafile connected.
Old bump. I finally got around to having time to play with my atari again. Everything is fine with it since steve did his magnificent repair on it. But I'm still having the same issue even with all the fixes applied. The floppy drive stops working when i plug the megafile in ( this means i can't loa...

Re: AtariFox STFM service blog

One day'll i'll get a blitter chip and pop it back for fitting, aha. Next stop, getting my mega file w...

Re: AtariFox STFM service blog
I was looking around the forum, and found something about an STF Buffer I dunno if this would do anything. Or has already been succeeded by a better fix. I believe this is the thread icky mentioned the Nasty DMA from. https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=1260&start=110#p1...

Re: AtariFox STFM service blog
Well i spoke with my father and he said he'd still help out with cost. I honestly dont want to give up on it because i'd love to enjoy the system. What about all those resistors behind the asci port? Would any of them being bad cause it too? DMA issues.. Has so many complications.. Noise on A1 can F...

Re: AtariFox STFM service blog
A real unfortunate pain in the ass this thing is. I really don't know what what's caused it. If only i hadn't tried to solder the wd pullup myself, none of this would have happened. I have floppy cables without the blocked hole, but, since it's already been removed, it's fine. The only thing that ke...

Re: End of all TF (Amiga) projects
ts come to my attention that someone has cloned the TF536 out of spite and is threatening to do this with all my future borads. received_638987773418328.png bound.png Fine.. My boards will be for close friends and people in my local amiga user group only now. That probably means no more TF1260s wil...
