Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

I should clarify that my random freezing while reading only happened once in a blue moon, not all the time or anything. Most of the time it's fine, like this week I ran it casually for a couple of hours, wiggled the board and cables, no lockups.

Re: TF1260 stuff

Credit where its due Erik Hemming has written me a driver for the TF ide interface.. its a little slow right now but we'll improve he speed and add DMA support in the TF4060. Shame the community have behaved so bad otherwise this would have been open source. Nice card. I would say a small minority ...

Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

I've also seen the freezing issue randomly with just reading or booting up, LED on CF adapter stays solid. That's caused by something else, probably a loose mechanical connection with the socket or CPU overheating/not stable at the frequency. This bug literally occurs only when writing for an exten...

Re: Figuring out the causes of slow disk access on the TF536

Setting the CF to 4096 block size gave me 15 s boot times. That's the fastest yet. Transfer speed is still super slow when testing. 50 kB/s. Takes several minutes to complete a Sysinfo or SYSspeed benchmark. I still like runnign it because it boots so fast. Games load slightly slower but just a few...

Re: End of all TF (Amiga) projects

To add to others, TF, you’ve done amazing work, thank you. Totally cool for someone to actually develop a cheap and finally attainable open 060 accelerator for the A1200 masses. Also very fun to be able to follow the development. But best part for me and I’m sure many others was the building and fut...

Its not 100% optimized for speed yet but i dont have the time to do that. This version is just about letting the card sit in the A1200 without anything rubbing on components
Are you referring to 060 burst, or is that just CPLD logic that needs to be added?

Re: TF536 on A2000

I did think this... that its just taking something just some time to settle down... because after the initial problem, it runs beautifully!! Can you monitor the voltage on the nice 5V header, preferably with a scope to see any ripples? Could be old/dry capacitor somewhere that needs time to warm up...

MODS, not sure what's going on with valeraduk 2 posts above, looks like spam to me, can you please delete.

@dalek Can you edit/delete your quote so people don't click on that URL, I attached the test script in my original message above.

Re: Source of 68030 with MMU?

Thanks to the comments here, if you’re in the US, the gen-tel seller on ebay has several MC68030RP25Cs for less than $10, I ordered some and have been testing them. No issues so far at 50MHz that I can relate to the CPU, they’ve run cool, no fan max temps around 94F-102F (ambient ~73F) with heavy SD...
