Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

One of my favourite bit of Atari kit appears to be working, so that's the parallel port tested :)

It works when Atari is client and server runs on the Mac. But it's very unstable if I do the opposite and I'm not sure why yet.

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

Quick test with Copyback enabled - unsurprisingly it makes an enormous difference! EmuTOS is assuming Writethrough so I would need to do some work there before I can have it enabled by default, but it's cool to see where it will eventually end up. Copyback enabled: 221 Copyback disabled: 113 coremar...

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

Faking those ACIA registers made Gembench happy :) The Gembench I could find in my mess only had the stfm as default reference so I think I'll have to copy the stuff from my ST which has the complete package. EmuTOS built-in driver: gb_emutos_et4000.jpg EmuTOS built-in driver + NVDI: gb_emutos_nvdi_...

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

The GEM window test is the only one that actually runs. All others will start but immediately get stuck and never finish. Ie; the blitting test draws the box at its first location but it never moves. I can see the CPU is executing code from TT-RAM but I'm not sure what. @exxos , would you know what...

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

awesome @agranlund Can you benchmark it with GemBench, Kronos or NemBench? ok, I see some tests: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXajcJa91_Q Hey Cyprian! Yep there's that one with some benchmarks. It's all a bit of a moving target and I'm going for just making things work and optimise later. Hence,...

frank.lukas wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 6:34 pm @agranlund ... is there a TSENG ET4000AX ISA graphiccard in the first ISA slot? Use you the Atari Nova driver or NVDI ET4000 for it?
Yes! It's the NVDI-ET4000 driver but I also want to have a go with the Nova driver (I have a Mach32 on its way here).

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

ROM SIMMS? You're a madman! I love it. Great work. BW That, and deciding to go with custom RAM Simms, greatly simplified routing on the mainboard (though routing this thing was still by far what took the longest) Also, I just think it looks awesome with those custom simms in matching color......
