Re: Hello from Reading, UK

I can remember many a night in the late 1990`s staggering out the back of the PurpleTurtle with a pint of beer stashed inside my jacket pocket to sup/spill on the way back to the trainstation

Re: To ditch the 12V PSU rail...

Looks like a bloody good Idea! Big supplier Vanilla PC boxes seem to be ditching the ATX or multi-voltage style PSU`s for a Single rail and something similar on the Mainboards for whatever extra may be required I think I would pass on the cheap-o 5V bricks from china for £10, People seem to like Mea...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

I built one in the 90`s for a mate so he could use an NEC mutlisync on his A4000, IIRC we need a schmitt trigger inverter? These are brand spanky new from On-Semi, pretty cheap too or should I look for a Dual model? https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/ON-Semiconductor/MC74VHC1GT14DBVT1G?qs=sGAEpi...

Re: TF CD32 Riser Revision 2 Design Complete

Is there space for buffering the H and V Sync signals like the Active 23wD to VGA adaptor has?
Have one of those adaptors but it puts a fair bit of weight on the Riser, with the adaptor and a chunky VGA cable it moves the top away from the CD32
making it a bit flakey in operation.

Re: Misinformation surrounding aca1233n

Changing the clock crystal has generally worked since they were on motherboards, I got some really funny results swapping out the crystals on 286 motherboards in mid 90`s. What else the clock is tied into is quite often the failure point, HDD controllers, Amiga chipset, you get the idea. Was a regul...

Re: Getting software to work on 68LC060

Could this be of any help in your diagnosis? I think it might be for the missing FPU instructions from 68882 though. http://aminet.net/package/dev/debug/FPSPSnoop This debugging tool intercepts the traps generated by a 68040 or 68060 processor as soon as it detects an instruction that is valid, but ...

Re: Cooling TF cards in CD32

I remember putting a new fan in my A590 back in the day, All the new fans I tried were even more noisey than the original! Is there space for something like an Evercool 70 x 70 x 15mm Fan in the top of the case? EC7015L05 A blob of hot glue in each corner should be good to hold it in place, ma...

Re: Getting WFI Working on TF3xx with ESP Module

I honestly dont know.. From here on its "Here be Dragons". I use Term but i wouldn't rely on anything going that fast in an Amiga. Many thanks for the heads up on Term, I got 4.8 from Aminet. It seems that WInUAE upper limit is 115200, I could only get garbage either way. From the CD32 to PC at 230...

Re: Getting WFI Working on TF3xx with ESP Module

Is there a terminal program for Amiga that lets you set serial ports externally or higher than 115200 baud? I have tried X-comm but that is limited to 115200 and is extremely unstable N-comm, my trusty favourite from days of old, runs great but again limited to 115200. I have couple of those esp mod...
