Re: Compilation of bugs in Vampire Standalone V4

I'd like to see a comparison of these issues with the MIST. Either it does not have these bugs. That would be great. Or it has the same bugs ... that would be interesting.

You'd still have 5V on the bus whenever the 5V CPU drives it. The 3.3V pullups would only pull it to 3.3V when no 5V part is driving against them.

The IKBD has been implemented in HDL and a small FPGA or a big CPLD could be used to get 100% compatibility without the need to source HD6301's. See https://github.com/harbaum/ikbd.

Re: Suska board

I'd assume that a low level dump of the suska SD card can be mounted in hatari and you could then just copy files from the host fs or a floppy image to it within hatari. You can even do things like byte swap on the image in between if necessay or modify the partition table or just extract a single p...

And you'd end up with many people playing SNES games on a device that looks like an ST  ... The MiST started as an ST as well and now look where it went.

Re: Cycle exact FPGA recreation

I actually think there's something in between the MiST and your board. That's a board that fits into the original ST case, has all the connectors a real ST had and is otherwise made of one or more FPGAs. The functionality would be the same as your device but you wouldn't have to rely on slaughtered ...

Re: MONO SWITCH

Many, MANY years ago i did something very similar on a real ST. See my old (german, google will help you) page at http://www.harbaum.org/till/atari/multisync.html This also includes links to schematics. This does: * combine mono and color video signals into one rgb signal * use a GAL to detect the v...
