Re: Initial thoughts

I have always loved this project for its 1:1 features of the original ST. Similarly as Troed, I'm not interested in putting accelerators or fast ram into an ST machine. So I'm in for the legacy board. :)

Re: New Falcon a lemon?

I would also recommend to listen more to people here than your friends.

And yes I agree, paying $2500 for a Falcon in such condition is crazy. I just recently sold one for 800 EUR which had only some bodge wires and visual defects, otherwise working perfectly.

Re: cosmosex shared drive not working

Btw, it's easier to try this stuff from the Linux console. So either connect your CE's RPi to a USB keyboard + HDMI monitor or set it up using another notebook running Linux. That way you'll see the error messages, hints what to google for etc.

Re: How do you organise your retro stuff, where do you keep it?

A while ago I used to be the same but even though I have a big flat and no kids/wife yet, I have come to the conclusion that there's no way I'm going to ever use and/or play with everything I have. Re: FOR SALE: Repairable Mega STE motherboard

I posted it also on FB (as the first thing) so that's where the buyer comes from. Initially, nobody reacted so I posted it here because I thought only hardware geeks are going to be interested. My mistake! But I tried to be fair - I compared reply times from all parties, the guy on FB really did rep...
