Re: Ebay scammers warning: backintime32, lechuza1983, Stachu100, sed_5242

Are we 100% sure that is the real Stachu100, the one registered on amibay? I sent him more than AUD$800 for an 060 accelerator last year and received exactly what I expected. Could it be that someone is just reusing well-known forum names?

Re: TF536 doesn't _quite_ boot

OK I am going to leave that last post there but there's no problem to be found. The problem was that I swapped the 1k and 220R resistors on the riser. I can't even remember why I would ever have removed them now but they went on the wrong way and of course nothing boots when the board 68k is not cor...

Re: TF536 doesn't _quite_ boot

So, here's where it's at. I removed the RAM to turn it around and installed new RAM in the correct orientation. (Should have left it off, I know, to troubleshoot with less on the board.) The TF536 just sits there with some kind of VGA signal coming out of the A600 (monitor light is green) but no boo...

Re: TF536 doesn't _quite_ boot

It got put a way for a bit - it has all been FPGA learning here recently. Unfortunately Friday was a public holiday or else Mouser would have delivered a big box of parts, so I am waiting until Tuesday now but I expect I'll have the 536 going soon. I also had a hot air station and SMD tweezers arriv...

Re: Scandoubler /Flicker fixer

Only that it is limited in the amount of screen real estate it covers on the output monitor. But that's a result of it not being overly complicated, I would prefer that than the OSSC approach that plugs into anything and scales to just about anything - you don't have to deal with an analog video sig...

Re: desoldering a dil 68000

Top de-solder gun tip - keep the suction going for a second after you have removed the solder and taken the hot nozzle off the chip. If you stop suction too soon the solder won't make it all the way into the glass container then you'll be trying to clear it.

Re: Centuriontech.eu

I did not discover centuriontech until a few months ago but I am a big fan. Their goex drive is excellent. I expect to be ordering again soon as they have laser-cut back plates for the A1200.

Couldn’t say shipping was fast or slow, seemed about normal for something coming from Europe to Australia.

Re: TF536 doesn't _quite_ boot

Thanks for the offers! I think I am going to take it slow and check/replace one thing at a time until it works. Possibly I cooked something removing the RAM. I am sure it will boot in the A600 (see video in first post, and I watched DiagROM output) - so I just have to make sure everything is good. I...
