Re: Mega ST keyboard, which Cherry MX Black type?

I replaced mine with cherry browns and they're absolutely beautiful. Did you do the whole keyboard? Just wondering how much that cost and how long it took. I just need to replace one switch, but if you're interested in replacing more: For 50-99 pcs the price is around 0.53 EUR per switch, 0,44 EUR ...

Do you know if both types existed in 1987 or so?
Good hint - turns out of those only the MX 1A existed in 1987.

Mega ST keyboard, which Cherry MX Black type?

Hi all, I was looking into replacing a broken Cherry MX Black switch on a Mega ST keyboard. Browsing Cherry's key offerings I saw that there are two switches that could match: One with 3.7 mm travel (MX 3A-11nn), one with 4mm travel (MX 1A-11nn). As I can't find a type code on the original switch, I...

Earlier 1992 Falcon revision

Built 1992, seems to be one of the earlier motherboard versions. The bodge wire on the cpu pin is as delivered by the factory.

Modifications: FPU added, RTC replaced.

NVDI 5, MagiC 6, Falcon 16 MHz

Spinning up my Falcon (stock except of the added FPU and the exchanged RTC) after more than 20 years and now doing some software archeology on the hard disc. I had forgotten how easily RAM speed was influenced by resolution modes (this one was ST medium, but via VGA monitor adapter - so slightly mor...

I think I did see one of those years ago. One of the less common ones I assume.
Let me know if you're interested (and have time) to put it through your test bench - I could swap it ...

The machine was still sealed - so this was the factory state.

Phihong PSM 4012-2 (Rev-A2) PSU

Hi folks, I got my hands on a Mega ST psu I hadn't seen before: Phihong PSM 4012-2 (Rev-A2) PSU. Any idea how this performs (got no equipment to measure noise, regulation, etc.).? I found a download link for the schematics here, but it seems to rather rare one (ain't mentioned in the last upgrade PS...

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

One question - and apologies, if this stated clearly on the Last upgrade page or in the store (and I missed it): Does the booster work with some cache, or do you focus your engineering marvels on pushing the speed (most effectively for internal cpu operations)? My focus was to push the 68000 to its...
