Icky, did you hand solder or bake?

Re: Icky - Progress - STF Remake Slimline Edition

:bravo: Thanks exxos. This is how it looks on the STF Remake board now. It only needs one DIL stack to get it over the DMA. Thats two less that the original I feel like I have a win for the Slimline Edition. In fact I am starting to think my challenge is to see how many DIL stacks I can remove. IMG...

Re: BLITTER RE-CREATION THOUGHTS

Happy to say that it does indeed glitter. Well we shall see PhilC :) I guess with shorts, disconnects from the soldering to sort out first. Then if we haven't wired anything up incorrectly we should be able to power the board to then start looking at putting a core on the FPGA. If least we can powe...

Re: BLITTER RE-CREATION THOUGHTS

Board is taking a bit more shape. Have managed to get most of the components on the board. Just missing a few resistors I couldn't find. Will add them in by hand later. If my hands stay steady enough. I was just talking with exxos on sometimes with SMT the stars align and they place perfectly and so...

Re: BLITTER RE-CREATION THOUGHTS

Using my DEV board (https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1806) with a Blitter socket and pins IMG_3764.jpg This is how the Blitter board is going to look once soldered in. IMG_3765.jpg Am looking to re-flowing the board tonight. Only if non-Atari stuff doesn't get in the way. Finge...

Making an STFM DEV / Test Board

In my journey working with exxos and building boards for the STFM I have been building an STFM DEV / Test board. This is an STFM that had seen better days that I managed to get off of evilBay for a very low price as it was listed for spares and repairs. It had a few issues such as the case was oblit...
