Maybe Icky can do a ST case revision which is 15" high :D :D
Well its not like he doesn't have a 3d printer large enough. He could print a house to put the 15" high ST in!!
:)

Why stop there may as well print a castle

Looking good Icky.

Does the missus know she has a new coffee table yet?

Re: Building a DIY large bed 3D printer

Looking now at the parts and how they fit together. This is one of the motor drive blocks. I am in the process of getting some of the parts like this one made from aluminium to make sure the strength and minimal flex is priority on the X axis where the extended length is on the printer. Maybe one that turns into a coffee table when out of use would be ideal :) Nice idea about the coffee table PaulJ_2.0. I have seen a pi...

Re: Building a DIY large bed 3D printer

Looking nice and solid. Is it going to be core xy? Yes its a core xy based on the Voron but with mods to make sure the X axis is stable. The base part of the frame is currently using 2040 extrusion instead of the standard 2020 to stop the bed flexing on the X dimension. There are two more struts to...
