I need to learn how to do that hexagon fill
I did it manually using the pattern command in Fusion. Then filled a few hexagons in to make it look different :)

Re: Building a DIY large bed 3D printer

Started printing the first parts for the printer build. Am currently using the HR-PLA 3D870 filament to see how it performs, so far its printing nice and easy like normal PLA.

Re: Flashy Clock - Yet another DEV board

Here is the first cut at an .ttp app that handles most clock capabilities. Also there is a stcs.prg to drop in the auto folder to set the st date/time based on the clock. Clock.ttp and stcs.prg should both clear hung clock chips instead of removing the battery and waiting. At this time it only hand...

Re: Nova GPU Case

First side panel printed and not happy with it. Firstly the mesh vents are very thin and some broke pulling off of the blue tape. I need to strengthen that area up. This print again was a quick on as I knew there would be things to change. Good thing is the nut slots on the inside part line up with ...

Re: Exxos is mentioned in print

Icky mentioned that the other day. I don't have the book, so no idea whats going on :) It was a nice read whilst on holiday over the last week to get my Atari fix. You are mentioned in Chapter 12 - Mods for memory upgrades and boosters and then again in Chapter 14 - Community under stores for the E...

That HR-PLA 3D870 sound very interesting. I sometimes print some astronomy hardware related pieces with ABS (brackets, ..), but may be I should try this new PLA.
I received a sample from them today so will do some tests tomorrow to see how good it is.

Re: Nova GPU Case

Inside enclosure part printed. Its a bit scruffy as it was a quick print as I knew there would still be the need for a few more adjustments. However there is very little to do to finish this piece off. Now I just need to print out the outside pieces and see how it all fits together. IMG_4340.jpg IMG...

Re: Building a DIY large bed 3D printer

I have also been looking at the following HR-PLA 3D870 https://filament2print.com/gb/special-p ... 3d870.html which is supposedly PLA similar to ABS properties. In addition you can temper it to make it harder.

Wonder if anyone has tried it?

Re: Building a DIY large bed 3D printer

Parts have started to trickle in this morning. Postman was a bit weighed down with the metal frame and stepper motor components. ST mouse for scale next to the frame pieces, it's going to be one big printer. Now I have the mammoth task of printing out all the additional parts in ABS on my old printe...
