Falcon bodge wire problem, where to connect.
Have recapped my Falcon and a cap, 47 uf @16 volts connected at its positive end to U23, an SMD dip 8. Problem is what pin does that bodge wire connect to? It came loose and I can't find the pin to connect the bodge wire to. Thanks!

Falcon Ram upgrade by exxos, how does it fit?
finally got around to installing this after a motherboard recap, but the board doesn't fit! The top header and the bottom header are too far apart, if I put the top header over all the pins, the bottom header is not lined up and the bottom header is 3 pins too far to the left, if I line up the botto...

Re: getting low readings on 12V Falcon supply
As exxos had noted before, these supplies need to be loaded to give a proper indication as I discovered with my Phihong supplies from the Mega STe and TT, not so much with the ST supplies I have recapped as I recall, but the Phihong will give erroneous results if not properly loaded. So I learned a ...

Re: Falcon localization settings, where?
OK, found the language disk and there is indeed a config file that I can use to set the language and keyboard, only problem is that when I reboot to get the settings I lose the hard drive boot sequence and have no access to the hard drive, can't even use "install devices" to get back the h...

Falcon localization settings, where?
Hi all, looking to change localization for my Falcon from German to US. I have TOS 4.01. I have been told that all language settings are contained in the TOS rom for the Falcon, and that all I need is to set the localization by ?what? Some said a CPX module but don't see any in my setup, I don't see...

Re: conflict with internal HD and external US in Mega STe
Yes, that is correct czientz, I just remembered that I have been running both Mega STe computers with just the external US while the internal adapter was connected, so you don't need to removed the adapter to run an external ASCI device.

Re: conflict with internal HD and external US in Mega STe
Thanks to all who replied. Some of this doesn't make sense, I mean, why would you have the ACSI port if you have a machine with an internal drive connected to the ACSI-to-SCSI converter? I can't believe that Atari would have made the Mega STe unable to have an external device, like another HD or rem...

Re: conflict with internal HD and external US in Mega STe
Yes, the internal is a Maxtor SCSI, probably an aftermarket replacement for the original HD as the Maxtor is 120 meg, 5 partitions, and filled to the gills with software. The Maxtor runs on the internal SCSI card that came with the Mega STe. The UltraSatan is external and has two cards in it and two...
