No, you don't need them. This was a tentative fix for the disable function but it still didn't work.

You are missing my point, I am asking if we should be suprised that they dont work OVER their rated mhz? Are they designed to be stable way over their rated speed? If you get the right masks they'll work to 55Mhz. The rating they have is based on their stability when tested over a high temperature ...

The trouble is these guys trawl the forums and we're going to see a spring up of fakes of those masks. OOOOH that looks nice!!! Great way to to go if the A500+ is too damaged from the battery acid.. Some pcbs just arent worth the time to try and patch up when the acid is eating its way throu it all under the silk :(

the 33mhz & 40mhz variants, are they supposed to work stable clocked at 50mhz? I have seen at a couple of placec that ppl comment that they wont work at 50mhz..
