Re: PSU bracket remake ?

I have a couple Exxos PSUs and a Centrurion Technologies PSU. They both need the original PSU bracket to fit them as well as an original power connector and switch so these usually come from an old PSU and hence should be the same sizes.

Re: new PSUs in my Falcon causes video output to fail

From what Paul identified, the C7 capacitor controls the delay in the reset process. Yes but in your first attempt you didn't solder the 22uF cap on C7 but C2 instead (I'm assuming that it's not a coincidence and you had been trying to install Czuba's reset fix as well). So I'm wondering whether th...

Re: new PSUs in my Falcon causes video output to fail

From what Paul identified, the C7 capacitor controls the delay in the reset process. When you power on, this delay needs to match the delay in 5v rail supply to the board. My PSU had a delay of around 22-25ms before 5v was supplied to board and the C7 capacitor was starting the reset process before ...

Hi Exxos

Just wondering what the voltage rating is for things like capacitors on the new board? 25v?

Re: competent repair people ?

Feel free to recommend me as you know from the clock patch install video that I know what I am doing. What video? Please share! :) Btw there's a clever guy, Paul, in Brisbane Atari community, a professional electrician. He helped Rob and Gary with their Falcon issues, too. Then I know of two Polish...

Re: Falcon PSU making 'tsk-tsk-tsk' sound

Hey guys, all right, I'll try it under a load and see what happens. Rob has one hell of courage to just put it back into the Falcon! ;-) Mine was ticking when not under load both before and after re-capping the PSU. Ticking stops as soon as it has a load connected. PSU tested fine on a scope with a...
