Re: kodak80 progress

Small update from me. Now have sound connected to my video adapter cable and works fine. 3M PLCC68 sockets arrived from Mouser this week. Now waiting on blitter chips ordered from Best Electronics as they were the only supplier with stock. Also ordered some Atari Crytal oscillators from Best Electro...

Re: Hxc vs flashfloppy

HxC Emulator manager is free. https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/HxCFloppyEmulator_soft.zip This download contains the Windows and Mac versions. There is a batch conversion process in there as well. I also have Goteks with both firmwares. Given the work Jean has done with the HFEv3 f...

Re: Hxc vs flashfloppy

I think what you need to look for is the .HFE disk image format. Both FlashFloppy and HxC can use this format for protected disk images. HFE version 3 now supports a large number of disk protection mechansims. Quite a few .STX disk images can be converted to .HFE format using the HxC Emulator manage...

Re: Need to set up new Ultrasatan SD Card

Hi All, Looks like my SD card on the ultrasatan has failed. Does anyone know where there is a Newbie guide to setting up the Ultrasatan SD cards etc? Thanks in Advance. Found this on Lotharek's site https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=47 under the FAQ tab: Q: After few reads/writes to SD CARD ...

Re: DMA port "update" ideas..

It probably would be ok if your not copying files to or from the hard drive to floppy... I need to get a new gigafile at some point as well.. Was half wondering if we should use the gigafile connector instead of the DB19.. GF would plug right into the STF then. Likely we can route power to the port...

Re: kodak80 progress

With Parallel pin 6 connected to YM-2149 pin 9, PARCP now connects and works so I can confirm that this fix works. I successfully transferred files to the SatanDisk C: drive through the PARCP. :D I have also copied a number of floppies to the SatanDisk C: drive and so far no corruption. That said, I...

Kodak80, check my build progress, I just found an open line on my parallel board and fixed. Maybe you have the same issue.
Cool. Thanks PaulJ for finding that. I will add a wire this morning and test the PARCP again. :D

Re: Parallel port

I have swapped the 2149 chip and same results so not the chip. All IOB pins on the 2149 chip are showing as connected to VCC when I do a continuity check with my multi-meter. Not sure how a soldering short would connect all IOB pins to VCC? Also, not sure how I would have made this happen on 2 boards.

Re: Parallel port

I have tested continuity with a multi-meter on the 2149 between pin 8 (IOB5) and pin 40 (VCC) on both of my boards and it looks like they are connected. I cannot see any obvious soldering shorts. I am guessing that they shouldn't be? Reading the data sheet for the 2149, the IO bus pins have a pull-u...
