I'd pin this to each and every relevant forum if I were you. This is a properly well constructed response to those who moan about late stuff, out of stock stuff (I have asked Exxos a few times about products, I'm not shying away from that fact). Very well put Chris.

Dare I ask how Spam performs. I would try myself - as a dedicated Spam lover, however, the off branded (and vile) stuff has been given to my mate for fishing with. I mean there's some science to be had, salt is an electrolyte and both are full of the stuff. Just please, don't try Salad Fingers. You ...
There was no difference to the one you got with the 6 switcher and the ST one, barring plastics. Metal domed switches with a grey "actuator" (used in the loosest terms) and a horrid rubber gator you'd find on a UVJ on a cars' steering for a handle fitted like a sleeve. Terrible. I have a few sticks,...

Sounds like the over current protection is kicking in (by design, or fault), or the power to the underlying control circuitry is compromised, if it chirps like a bird. Not great. Don't run it again without load. Deffo don't try it in your precious device! I am no expert.
I've reinked ribbons in the past. Though generally they don't seem to print much out, and can't put to much ink on them else it gets very messy :( I had a go with parker ink as a kid, can attest to messy, though it was a long stationary Epson cart. I kinda fumbled and had black ink pasta salad all ...
Still towing to type, so here's a quick suggestion, take the rubber off of the handle leaving the inner grey hollow pole. If that's still too stiff then new mech design. If it's much easier, consider a remoulding for the outer rubber "handle bit". Never liked the 2600 sticks at all.
This are not a full reply, I gone and done me shoulder in, typing is hard. Thanks for the suggestion to actually google the carts, yes I can get them from a place in my county. Interesting convo from a silly thread! Back in a bit... (swears at shoulder while going back to hibernating unless the pain...

Hello peeps, I hope you are all doing well. I have a Star LC-10 printer and as you can guess, the ribbon (black, not colour) is probably drier than blue touch paper. I'm considering getting the LC-10 out and making a few signs for the shed, purely because it's an option I have. Is there a decent "re...

I dunno about you guys but I find myself editing on the fly (L to fast forward 10 seconds on YT) just to get past a lot of spiel that's not needed, or to bypass repetitive stuff. Also the Wadsworth consonant is real. If it's someone I like listening to, say big clive or ave, I'll happily sit and lis...
