Nah, I'm with you. Granted, I use modern replacements such as a Gotek or SD2IEC as well, but floppies are hard to beat nostalgically. I may be alone with my floppy, but I have a good time , and good experience, each and every time I use it :) Aside when it fails, then its a bit of a downer, but mostly things work just great and gotta love it!

Right, so the machine wasn't working in the first place then.. so this thread/fault isn't actually anything to do with the MMU RAM upgrade in that case. You will need to re-solder the resistors and remove the MMU board and cable and see if your machines boots as stock.

Somewhere troed did a program to detect current wait states. The desktop would be shifted, though I think it was ws2,ws4 which mostly came up.. After powering off for a few moments and powering back up again.. So maybe that would help ?
