It is an interesting idea, similar to what Sega did with the Megadrive I believe. It has a 68000 and a Z80 inside.
Cool! did not know that!

Re: ALPHA CPU Quattro Board

Yeah I remember that a while back, wasn't that to farm out video or audio cycles away from the main CPU? Yeah, Was trying to work out if I could basically build a mini "ST" where basically a 68000 would have its own RAM, and basically could be used for playing audio so it did not use any main CPU p...

Re: CPU Strangeness

TBH, I think it is poor contact in the turned pin socket I'm using, as the CPU can almost be pulled out by hand. I have no end of trouble with turned pin sockets :( Even the round header pins (albeit from China) Into have some sort of release on them which causes a bad connection, so I have to keep...

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

So my test machine packed in it seems.. its was the motherboard I was testing the SEC Booster on in fact, it just so happened to be the same motherboard that I use for testing the RAM on, so had to start again on the fresh board  .. and yes, I heat-gunned the DRAM out #tolazytocare IMG_4182.JP...

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

New print underway.

This one uses 50% infill (was 15% before) see if its any stronger or not...Certainly taking a lot longer to print...

(The fill does not show up very well on the image :( )

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

Not bad so far... I need to make the spaces longer more than anything.. I need to make the recess part a little bit longer as well.. The front holes are not totally aligned to the motherboard, so I need to do something about them... The bottom of the plastic frame is actually resting on top of the R...
