I used to smash away for hours at Vroom when I was younger. It would have to be one of the top 10 best games ever for the ST. The fact that it runs on the Falcon is like whipped cream on top. Three flavours, IIRC, Vroom, Vroom Multiplayer and F1.
That is what I don't get. Both Mega PSU's come to a grinding halt when plugged into the mainboard. Both spin up the fans without an additional load. The CDRom supply just works, albeit with sod all current delivery. But it is enough to jumpstart the boards. I figured it was caps playing funny muppet...

Bit of an update. Slow on the repair front lately. I have a MegaST PSU on the way so I can start work on my 4MB model. There is a auto program for the STe that allows interlace in 320x200 or 640x200. I used to use is for 640x400i in 16 colours on my MegaSTe. That would have to be possible on a TT at least?
The switch is just a switch, it seems. It isn't DPDT. Pins 1 and 2 are bridges, so pin 3 goes to ground when the switch is thrown. Now the 500k colour adjust trimpost has just committed seppuku. Next to replace........ I can't say I'm not learning anything about the 2600.
