Re: DoG's Hx Mongrel build attempt

I finally got some time to do some work on the board. I think I got most of the small itsy bitsy components soldered in now. I maybe do jumper pins next and then sockets. And ports and fixes of course. I lifted the 3 pins on the DAC. I'm going to leave them unattached to anything and see what the di...

Re: What are you buying yourself for Christmas?

So have to heat it upp with a soldering iron from inside. You will notice when it start getting a bit bad at sucking. Start cl...

Re: -5v - from an ATX psu?

Check the archives for what is needed of the PSU in the MegaSTe.

Meanwell does some nice PSU. The RQ65 for example can maybe work. Got -12V and -5V. It seems in specs. Input 115V or 230V. Should fit nicely.

Re: DoG's Hx Mongrel build attempt

As PaulJ said: It's the 19 pins that needs moving towards the back ground plane. The alignment is fine with the holes. And as seen on the pic, it fits as it is right now. No oval holes are needed. D-sub underneath.png One more thing... Don't touch the hot air gun with your pinky finger.

Re: DoG's Hx Mongrel build attempt

Yup, it will fit actually when doing that. Thanks for the tip. But now I see that the two 25pin connectors don't have solder masks on the board for the two relieve holes. Hmm, or the 13pin connector for the monitor or midi in and out.
