Re: TF360 Status

I have the caps but they are 1uf... the values are petty random to be honest. Didn’t get a chance to try the ide firmware yet, I had only 20 mins before having to go get the kids. Will try it tomorrow.

Re: TF360 Status

Quick update: got the new power supply I linked above, it works, doesn't heat at all, however my 060 is still unhappy at 75 mhz, but on the plus side now I also have a 133 crystal so will solder that soon to see if there is any improvement. EDIT: works great at 66 Mhz on rev 6... will try rev 1 later.

Re: TF360 Status

As Jens says, sysinfo was made to sell accelerator boards. But its actual testing abilities are really bad, especially the transfer rate speeds.

I would recommend trying something like the good old Disk Speed utility (available on aminet). Or maybe the drive speed section of the SysSpeed utility.

Re: TF360 Status

I might get a chance to test this in day or two. I’m alone with kids tomorrow after work so probably won’t be able to do much.

Pinout is different to the Tf360 pins at present.
I know... but it seems that this is the most common pinout for these types of regulators. I'll rewire it externally.

Re: Clock generator for TF360 rev 1

If you go with software selectable frequency, I would avoid storing the setting in nvram for 2 main reasons: 1) It's more work+potentail maintenance for you. 2) It's not really necessary to have it stored. If you have a software-configurable clock setting, you can simply invoke it from startup-seque...

Re: TF360 Status

I found this one, which is cheaper than the one Viktor suggested and it does the same thing:

Plus it's smaller in footprint. I am going to order it and try.

I’m balancing this against the sodomization that will occur to boards if end users have to do smd soldering to change speed.
How about adding a few jumpers instead?

Re: TF360 Status

Guy's try traco power TSR 2-2433 Mouser number: 495-TSR2-2433 2A and no heat at all... That looks good. Im just slightly concerned about the size of it. i.e. will it be too big to let a user install a TF360. I think it should be OK, it's only 1cm tall, which is less than the IDE connector with the ...

Re: TF360 Status

No luck at 75 Mhz.

The rev1 CPU yellow-screens. One of the two rev6 CPUs crashes immediately after boot. The other makes it to workbench but then it freezes immediately.
