Re: The TF330 is here

8-bit dreams: mouser used to have a huge stock but someone cleaned them out. They spent 1000s literally... anyway they will be back in stock.

Supaduper: would you be willing to share your source for the DB23 connectors?

Re: The TF330 is here

They are bevelled edge, but with JLCPCB it's just not as pronounced as with some other manufacturers (45 degrees as opposed to 30 or whatever... something like that). Once I accidentally ordered 1.6 non bevelled edges and they definitely broke the connector - anyways my personal preference is 1.2 mm...

Re: The TF330 is here

That board looks a bit thick... I hope it's just the picture, as 1.6 mm won't fit in the riser

Re: Terriblefire Accelerators

Ok just realized the latest TF530 firmware doesn't work properly at 25 mhz, no issues whatsoever at 33 Mhz and up however.

Re: Terriblefire Accelerators

The prototype boards have shipped. I guess I’m bringing up a CD32 accelerator this December. Two questions for knowledgeable Amiga types. What’s the easiest way to get quake on a CF card? And what’s the easiest network stack for use with a modem? MiamiDX? I don't think there is much hope of getting...

Re: TerribleFire 328/330 Support (CD32)

Get your CD32 recapped even if it seems fine, chances are the old caps are already leaking merrily all over the board. The PAL units are particularly problematic as they have 2 caps factory mounted backwards (not the case with NTSC units). Where are you located?

Re: Terriblefire Accelerators

From the logic point of view, how is SDRAM different from regular DRAM? I assume you still have to do all the refresh cycles. So for example, is it possible to reuse routines from the TF328 DRAM design?

Re: TerribleFire 328/330 Support (CD32)

nils, if you're one of those who bought the card from me, thank you. The TF330 will most likely be available from the same people that are building the rest of Stephen's cards, such as 8 bit dreams, supaduper and me. The biggest challenge here will be securing a good supply of 68030 CPUs. I want to ...
