Re: I need a soldering station to get started

I agree with Aeberbach about the Hakko, very nice construction and quality, also the cheap tips are a definate plus. (design and colors are …) If you are very serious you could look at the pricey JBL soldering stations, they have very pricey soldering tips also but that is because the heating elemen...

Re: My TF536 Testing

Does your PSU adapter cable generate the 50Hz tick? or do you have J300 enabled?

Did you test any of the other A2000's with the original PSU?

Re: The future of TF card distribution

The Exxos webshop is IMHO a perfect solution for people who want to build their own boards, the people who i referred seemed really happy about the service. (maybe a disclaimer could be added). When the boards are more mainstream the support will probably be carried by more people. Maybe we could ma...

Re: TF536 on A2000

The A2000 has a lot of resistor packs near the 68000 socket, could it be a termination issue due to the pull ups on A24-A31?

Re: PSU related Blitter issues (Atari STE)

The question is what causes the issue:
1. Lower or higher voltage
2. Ripple
3. Voltage drop
4. Something else misbehaving due to the above.

Missing something?

Is it that CD32 is more tolerant than A500?
For some reason my post wasn't posted, I asked the same thing.

I would love to see the CPU voltage and see the ripple on a scope for both the CD32/330 and an A500/536 .

Re: What kit can I buy? A500+ accelerator

This is the one AlenPPC sells: http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?112360-TF536-030-64-MB-IDE-internal-expansion-for-the-A500 It has a 33B cpu but better prices. He has almost no backlog the last time i looked, so your board will ship pretty quickly. If your CPU is ceramic and/or 33c or higher I wo...

Re: What kit can I buy? A500+ accelerator

The 030 cpu's are realy cheap, for a few bucks more you get a 030 with the board that is tested.

IMHO: It's not worth the trouble to buy the 030 boards without CPU.

Just bought a board from AlenPPC, it looks amazing, no question about it.

Re: External floppy connector to be axed ?

I'm talking about: 1. Bringing the Gotek USB connector and the Gotek buttons to the back of the case. 2. Having 1 or two extra USB connectors for things like a mouse that you can wire up internally with an adapter of your liking. With the above we do not need any extra adapters as everything is alre...
