Re: TT issues. Help welcome...

Once you're done testing the RAM and if it's ok, the "window could not be drawn - insufficient memory" message can also be due to some bad data returned by the drive (sector size and what not), making HDDriver allocate a huge buffer in memory which makes the machine run out of memory and trigger thi...

Re: 16BIT ROM CART THOUGHTS

Yep. It's not so much what the CPU does but what the code does. If the code does a 8 bit access for some reason, it will use /LDS or UDS (depending on the address). The code part will always be read as 16bit as this is the minimum instruction size. The data can be read in 8 or 16 bits depending on w...

Re: 16BIT ROM CART THOUGHTS

When the 68000 does a 8 bit read, it asserts the proper uds/lds signals but you can indeed place 16bits of data on the bus and the CPU will read what it needs.
You just need to make sure the ROM is selected for /UDS or /LDS (via an and gate for example as you said.).

Re: XRGB Framemeister

That is snazzy :) It's like a better version of those arcade upscaling things that are about. https://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/3/5/4/2/9/5/webimg/579503810_o.jpg?nc=636394215331921230 These things claim to do a few different types of input and output (in this case VGA), there's loads of versions a...

Re: Floppy header pinout - loose pin

Ping 20 of the WD goes through the 74LS06 so you won't have continuity all the way. You should have continuity between the WD and the 7406 and from the output of that gate on the 7406 and the pin on the floppy connecter (the filter beads are inductance so they should show as continuous if there is n...

Re: SITE STORAGE SUGGESTIONS

Yea we should be fine. We tend to forgot that Atari software are not the multi megabyte software of today (and I'm the first one guilty of this :) ).
