Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

Ok.. now we're getting into silly territory! Not bad for a 520ST :) DSC_3110.JPG This is with both EmuTOS and NVDI in FastRAM. It's come quite a long way since the first time it was booted up. Did I mention I love this? I wanted something to tinker with instead of a finished product so this is absol...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

Does the firmware listed above has fixed IDE already, or there was some improvements done after? Not sure, so I attached a new firmware which has the FastRam and IDE changes. Hopefully these changes can be implemented in the official Atari firmwares. Also included in the zip is a build of EmuTOS 0....

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

Finally! IDE is a success! I noticed on the TF534 schematics that the data lines for the IDE interface are byte-swapped. Apparently this is standard on the Amiga, but that is not the case on Atari. So I swapped the lines on my cable and hey, presto! (I had already modified the TF firmware to present...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

Any chance to get IDE running? I think digging deeper into that will be next on the agenda. I really want my CF card to work with the TF as I am running out of stuff I can comfortably run from floppy :) So far I the only thing I've really done to the TF is to make the IDE interface appear in the co...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

It must be different firmware than I was trying as even at 50MHz with caches on it barely got to a stock 8MHz machine Yes, it's a locally modified firmware where I remapped the onboard ram to appear as TT-RAM. This makes running applications from FastRam very easy (including EmuTos itself, which ma...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

That fits better than in the STFM I tried. Usually either the psu or keyboard get in the way. Yeah it's almost like it was made to go into the original ST :) I think we've seen enough of Elite Frontier running on TF equipped Amigas, so here it is finally running really quite well on the Atari ST :)...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

Your ST-Ram access figures are better than PAK 68/3 (68030 32Mhz) (below), but still lower than reached by the BLiTTER - 4Mb/s for both operations - write and read, and 2MB/s for copy. Ideally, you want as little as possible to live in ST-Ram as it will be restricted by the 8Mhz system bus. And spe...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

will this FW be uploaded somewhere? Would like to test it.. :P Hope it's ok if I just attach it here? If not I will remove the post. It's built from TF534r2c sources on github. Needless to say, this one is for Atari only. The only change from the official source is where the onboard ram is mapped t...

Re: Agranlunds TF534 Build

Can you do please NemBench v2.1 test? Sure! And thanks for bringing that benchmark program to my attention, I didn't know about it. Sadly no FPU results as I don't have an FPU - I do plan on ordering one from the Exxos store though. Also, the readme advices to use Mono mode but I only have a homema...
