Re: Daniel/New Beat

Yup, Daniel and Chris nailed it. It's not about money, really. What Kickstarter can't offer is exactly what has been mentioned -- the time. All right, if I say I'm going to finish my ScummVM port so it would run on stock Falcon and Kickstarter could deliver say 10,000 EUR for it, fine, I could take ...

Re: Daniel/New Beat

I second Steve, you've done quite a few amazing things! :) By the way, now you're mentioning Willie's, any chance to finish it? Or at least release source code?

Re: Motherboard capacitors - which to replace?

OK, I have now had fun replacing capacitors on my ZX Spectrum boards (x3) and changing these to composite video. This was my learning ground and all are now done and working. I have also replaced the capacitors on 2 ST PSUs and they work well. Still working up to replacing my Falcon NVRAM. :thumbup...

Re: Disk On Modules and Falcon. Questions.

I have a vastly different experience than rpineau. I'm using DOMs in all my Falcons -- small, reliable, directly connectable to the 44 pin connector. Simply hassle free.

On the other hand, find a good CF is like looking for needle in a haystack so no, for me are DOMs the only option.

Re: ST PSU NEW BATCH IN THE MAKING

Thank you Chris, I could finally make my Falcon PSU (and other stuff) order. Nearly 100% things I wanted (only ones missing: FALCON 030 14MB ST-RAM CARD and Falcon030 RTC replacement NVRAM but I don't need them so badly).

Re: Who designed the Atari chipsets ?

Shiraz is certainly alive as he made a greeting to one of the Silly Venture's video openings. You can find it on YouTube.

Re: Falcon issues

HD Driver, if it's something at least remotely recent (>= 7.x) will definitely work on Falcon.

Re: Hello from Canberra

Oh wow, that sounds pretty interesting. So how do you compile and link your programs then? Did you cook some home made elf2tos converter? Maybe would be worth sharing along with your other projects you have mentioned -- libc, libg++ and the other libs, there never to late to invent a new approach! :)
