There was someone who got thousands of connectors made, dread to think of the cost, he got like 10,000 made or something.

Re: Web shop postage cost thoughts

Yeah, I could easily argue that I haven't had any bad experiences with sending stuff in envelopes but if you have - do what suits YOU best. Who doesn't accept it, well, he can go looking somewhere else.

Re: Monitor recapping and low ESR

I have Philips CM8833-II and Atari SC1435, basically 1084S-Px clones when it comes to the PCB.

I'm planning to recap two Commodore 1084S-D2 and a 1084S-P1 monitors.

I've assembled part lists for both (they are quite different in internal design)
Would you mind publishing that list? :-P I'm thinking about doing the same.

I haven't tested the parallel as I don't have a cable or suitable printer.
An obvious test case would be PARCP-USB, if you know someone around with that device. If not, it's an useful thing to buy anyway. ;-)

Its 15mm high from the PCB.. and is 26mm wide.
By my rough measuring, 3-4 mm will be in the way, damn. As I said, I guess it's too late but if you ever have a reason to change something on the PCB, I'm a happy supporter of moving that black thing a few mills lower. :-P

Re: Future PSU designs

Hmm, this is going to be a very, very tight match, if so. :)

Can you measure the black thing in the bottom right corner for me, please?

Re: Future PSU designs

Never seen a IDE mash up like that. Its over hanging the PSU, so it's going to be in the way. It's quite popular among Amiga people who for some reason prefer to have IDE female connectors angled to the left (contrary to the right what we would prefer). From your picture above it looked like the PC...
