Re: Future PSU designs

I guess I'm too late to the party but if there is still a hope -- any chance this setup could work with your new PSU: IMG_20180926_115516.jpg Because that's exactly the reason why I had to order Centuriontech's PSU in the first place -- it has a bit more space on the right so I can use SD card adapt...

Re: Future PSU designs

does it get hot ? I can answer the rest when I get time / the PSU but yes, it does get hot when pulling 12V a lot. I think the issue was actually something close to that - when I had the PSU "out in the open", it was fine but as soon as I put the case back on, let it work for 15 minutes - bzzzz. An...

Re: Future PSU designs

12V almost nothing uses it anymore, but I am loading with 2amps. Fun fact: CT2 uses 12V. Why it's fun? Because I could compare both yours and Centuriontech's and well... Centuriontech PSU didn't make it. After an hour of usage or so it simply refuses to work anymore while yours work perfectly. We'r...

Btw, the guy in this video:

shows all the documents confirming that he bought the Jaguar mold and all the tooling for less than $2000 back in 1997.

Re: Falcon IDE read failing at higher frequencies

You say yourself you are accelerating the CPU, so it will read the IDE bus faster... Assuming you now using a different SD card & adapter, just probably was a fluke combo of hardware which made it work before and not now. Ladies and gentleman, these are words of wisdom and experience. Exxos was 100...

I don't think that replaced IDEtoSD or SD card, especially the later have some influence in it.
Surely it has - because they are both dead now. ;-) Fortunately I have the same brands of those so I can rule out some incompatibility introduced by new hardware.

Re: Falcon IDE read failing at higher frequencies

On the contrary Chris, I value your opinion. Just look at it from the user point of view - it worked, user messed something up, now it doesn't. So the explanation "it was never supposed to work" might be true but it doesn't solve the user's problem. :) It's similar as with the infamous "We don't bre...
