Re: My Falcon went to black screen

On a brighter note... R. Czuba is certainly approachable, I'm in contact with him every now and then. Not sure what "firm" you are referring to but he is perfectly reachable on his decade old email address available at his website: http://powerphenix.com ... he is busy but maybe it's not impossible ...

Re: Moving objects with incremental slowdown..

Yup, just use a 1D array of some nice function (can be sin, cos, log, whatever you prefer/looks nice but sin is probably the easiest way). So the first effect is easy, start at sin(90) = 1 and decrement the angle (index) to 0 (or increment to 180, same thing) which will produce smaller numbers (incr...

Re: WIP Atari ST ScummVM-lite

Not bad at all! I guess when you are finished it should be pretty straight-forward to re-add 8-bitplane graphics and make a TT/Falcon build of your optimised engine?

Re: Future of the project.

I, for one, would be really happy if the goal was still to have a cloned ST. I don't really care about acceleration on ST, I love to watch demos, maybe play a game or two, simply - have fun. If I wanted an accelerated ST, I would fire up an emulator. Not surprisingly, I fully support the idea of rep...

Re: Earlier 1992 Falcon revision

Nice one. However far from the lowest number I have seen - B52A01000010 :) For me the most unique are the Peritel models because those are really different, they don't have the TV modulator for instance.

Re: 32bit CPU with 16bit software ?

Also worth noting - full 32-bit bus enables usage of so called burst mode on the 030 (and higher), so you can fetch 16 bytes at once.

I'm glad I asked! Fire definitely doesn't sound as something I would like to see. I have ordered it online then.

DC Current Gain on transistor

Hey guys, this is going to be one of the "I have no clue but need to solder it anyway" question. ;-) I'm upgrading a CRT monitor and one part I need is a BC548B transistor. Impatient to wait for eBay or similar delivery I have visited a local electronics shop. They had only a BC548C. Looking at the ...

Re: An Atari ST HDMI All Resolution Solution??

So, not a definitive answer to be sure, but I ordered pretty much based on that comment and the video alone. For the future, it's better check facts before spreading bold statements (look at your resposnes even here in this thread). Imagine Exxos & guys wouldn't have noticed the Chinese original, y...
