Re: Worth of an SST Board after cleanup?

I agree that you should donate it to someone who can perhaps fix or reverse engineer it. It would be a positive contribution to the community.

Re: Low Performance Falcon

That is quite interesting, do you have any photos to share in case someone has a similar issue in the future? Would be interesting to see what components you're talking about. Are you saying that you moved them back to their factory positions, or just removed a short and re-soldered them?

Re: Falcon clock buffer patch V2 progress

Not really sure what's going on there, but I would suggest you remove all the stuff and basically take it back to stock as thats how the buffer is intended to be fitted. If you have anything else anywhere, it will likely screw things up. Fitting the buffer is still as before anyway. Well okay.. I m...

Ah okay, so I guess I could install it and try with that on/off to see if it makes any stability differences. Any thought on my sdma clock wire?

Re: Falcon clock buffer patch V2 progress

Hey @exxos ,

You mentioned having a V3 board available to test. Since I have a Phantom patch could I test it out for stability? My sdma clock is cut and wired directly to the Phantom clock patch, can I wire this up directly to your V3 to avoid having to re-patch the motherboard?

Re: Hello from the Washington, DC, area!

Hi Rob, Just so you know Exxos isn't doing diagnosis/repairs on peoples computers anymore. As far as I know there aren't any USA or Canada based repairers on the forum, but they do exist. I have had someone send me their ST for refurbishment from the US before but the shipping isn't cheap. There is ...

@Cosmic Puppet

Perhaps that usb avermedia recorder above might be ok? I think a youtube channel centered around Atari and music/midi/notator etc would be a smashing thing to do. Educational guides on Notator would be popular too I think.
