Notice how it kind of 'smears' with different strengths of yellow....

The easiest way to filter out far east sellers is to use the filter 'Click and Collect' Only UK based sellers can offer this. I use it all of the time if I need something semi urgent.

I don't know if this is your problem with the floppys, but I heard that the chemical composition of the HD disks is different from the 720k ones. They work but apparently not as good for data integrity? Perhaps someone else might know about this, I can't remember where I read about it.

I'm not sure if you have done this yet, but is the PSU outputting correctly? Are you getting proper +5, -5, +12, -12?
