Re: Steve's H5 A3.14 Build (Chicken Pie edition)

Just wanna say thank you to PhilC for getting my H5 working. Combination of a bad MFP and a botched patch :) PXL_20201225_104850860.jpg Still got a little bit of troubleshooting to do in regards to the whites being a shade of yellow. Notice how it kind of 'smears' with different strengths of yellow....

The easiest way to filter out far east sellers is to use the filter 'Click and Collect' Only UK based sellers can offer this. I use it all of the time if I need something semi urgent.
Oh great tip! Cheers

Re: Ebay is great, not!

One thing I noticed recently (not sure how long it has been going on) is that there are hundreds of Chinese ebay shops who pass themselves off as UK business. It is really easy to tell - just search for any common place IT tech, like a wireless keyboard, click 'UK only' then check out all the seller...

Re: STE mods

Hi Jun,

I was just wondering about your interest in Atari and how it came about. I am not aware whether Atari was available to people in Japan back in the old days, they had so many of their own custom computers on the market. I'm just interested in your unique perspective.

Thx

Re: Kinda gone a bit crazy...

I don't know if this is your problem with the floppys, but I heard that the chemical composition of the HD disks is different from the 720k ones. They work but apparently not as good for data integrity? Perhaps someone else might know about this, I can't remember where I read about it.
