Re: RSVE (serial port modification) installation
Cool! Which accelerator is that? It would be great to put an accelerator in the STe, but I'm not sure if that would be possible when I already have a MonSTer in the CPU socket. Mechanically I could probably stack the accelerator on top of the PLCC socket on top of the MonSTer, then put the 68000 in ...

Re: RSVE (serial port modification) installation
Ah! The English text was after the German docs in the same file so I had it all along  Thanks  What do you mean by "without a speeder it makes no sense"? Are you referring to the HSMODEM software in the AUTO folder? Here's what it says (in case others are also interested)...

Re: Smoke from MegaSTe PSU (PSM-5341) !
Do you mean full airflow without any lowering of the fan voltage at all, or would some lowering be OK (for instance to 9V instead of 12V as suggested earlier by Frank.Lukas)?

Re: Smoke from MegaSTe PSU (PSM-5341) !
Thanks to both of you for the warnings. So unlike the ST/F/M/E power supply, the TT/Mega STe power supply itself needs cooling? I always thought it was mostly about a hot internal HDD (which a normal ST doesn't have) and the increased processor speed (also something a normal ST doesn't have) which w...

Re: Smoke from MegaSTe PSU (PSM-5341) !
Exactly! Makes perfect sense and just what I did, but it still won't work. I even disassembled the "low noise" wire and tried the adapter cable, connecting it directly to the HDD power connector. Still nothing. So I removed the heatshrink and braiding of the fan wire itself and look what I...

Re: Smoke from MegaSTe PSU (PSM-5341) !
I use for R35 47 Ohm 1W so the 12V FAN run at 9V max ... The Noctua fan came with a couple of "low noise adapter" cables which are meant to be inserted between the power supply and the fan. Noctua low noise adapter.jpg The one with the appropriate connectors (NA-RC12) doesn't work in my M...

RSVE (serial port modification) installation
Does anyone know how to connect an RSVE high-speed serial port modification board to the STe? I've had one installed in my STe years ago, but since removed it (in order to replace messy wires with proper connectors, but never got round to it), and I can't find any English docs. I've got the board (w...

Re: Testing the serial port between two STs
It just occured to me that I used to have an RSVE board (high speed modem-port modification) installed in the STe, but decided to tidy up all the messy modifications and put in proper connectors etc. but never got round to it. I've found the RSVE board with its cut off wires, but I'm not sure where ...

Re: Fixing keyboard mylar sheet/keys
Unfortunately Amazon tells me it can't send the item to my area. I assume it's because of restrictions because of its contents. Oh well, I don't need it right now anyway, but would be nice to have for later. As for "Keypad-fix": great stuff indeed! I dipped a Q-tip into the jar (looks like...
