Re: General Stuff(tm)

The CPU isn't very well soldered.. even some of the pads look like they're floating / touching. I also don't think that looks like a new CPU... the legs are all bent out of shape and corroded...

Re: Issue with the STM 4MB RAM UPGRADE

Malichite It might be worth watching Adrian's digital basement's installation video (it's for agranlund's version, but it will be the same installation) mainly for his fault finding techniques. His particular STM had a previous 1mb RAM upgrade and because of this he needed to reverse a few broken t...

Re: LarryL’s blog - creating an ATX version of the Phoenix H5

Might be a silly question but is it possible to include NetUsbee hardware on the motherboard? It would be really nice to have a couple of USB ports and Ethernet direct. If there's no room for headers on the edge, then perhaps there could be some IDC headers instead.

Re: --- > MANDATORY FIXES < ---

Hello Exxos I have a very strange issue, 1° all PSU caps are changed already, I know my PSU & my floppy, my Keypad are good (I exchanged them with another Atari) 2° When everything is connected on the mother board I always have 2 bombs at boot. 3° If I remove the keypad connector, the TOS boot ...

Re: ST536 + ST RAM Upgrade?

For any applications that can run in fast-ram it won't be an issue, MiNT is only reliant on fast-ram really. It will just totally depend on some of your legacy apps and whether they require ST-RAM directly. So you'd probably want to research that aspect. I've heard that 1mb of ST-RAM is usually enou...

Advice on how to copy Falcon drive contents

Hi all, This is a rather complicated issue I'm trying to solve, just seeing if anyone has any better ideas. The problem: I have a Badwolf auto byte swapping IDE adapter in my Falcon. ( https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6406 )The idea is: It automatically byte swaps the data...

Re: Falcon030 bombs out

Yeah just take the FPU out entirely for now. The FPU sockets aren't very reliable in the best of times and a half-connected FPU can cause some random issues with the system.

Re: Falcon030 bombs out

Firstly I'd remove the FPU entirely. Replace the socket. But it's most likely an issue with the RAM board. Get another RAM board to see if it solves the issue.
