Built up 3 of these UniJoyticle2 (revision B) adapters and connected an old Wii controller over Bluetooth and tested it on my 800xl. I can report back that these work well. revision D of the PCBs onwards provides power through the 9 pin joystick port but the ones I built need 5v through the USB port...

It works with both TOS 1.04 and EmuTOS 1.0 on my Mega ST4 as mentioned above, so I would say yes. Someone would need to test ...
