Re: Bad reads after bus resistor replacements with ACSI2STM
Unfortunately no two STs are the same and you have to be prepared to treat each machine individually. It can be very frustrating when chasing down problems, and the best advice I can give is to do one thing at a time, check the outcome, and if no change move on to the next thing. Unfortunately with ...

Re: ATARI SR98 RECAPPED BUT ...
First off, if you're testing off load, then you may get odd results. I use the load resistors from exxos store whenever I test any ST PSU, or need to adjust the 5v output. I don't do any adjustments when connected to a machine, it's too risky. Secondly, the large 2W resistors are that size because t...

Definitely willing to tryBadwolf wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 3:55 pmIt'd be great if you could tell us if it worked, thoughrubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 3:46 pm
Ahh, ok, slightly annoying, but I do have an STE with a plug in version of exxos 32Mhz booster, so it could go in that.

Re: [Video] PiStormSTE -- case closed?
Very nice work, I think one of these needs to go onto the project list. Will it work in an MSTE by any chance? Thanks! After some chat in Discord, the general consensus is currently 'dunno'. It's unlikely to fit with the PSU in, though. BW Ahh, ok, slightly annoying, but I do have an STE with a plu...

Re: General Stuff(tm)
I'm back down at my Dad's house in Cornwall. It would now be more accurately described as my Cornish residence as the paperwork has come through from the Probate Office. My job today has been deconstructing the "front bedroom" computer room and bringing it down to the staging area in my o...

Re: Evercade EXP - Early Xmas Present
Well, my wife came through with a most excellent birthday gift: PXL_20231022_090543831.jpg Very pleased, especially since the Toaplan Arcade 1 cart has Tiger-Heli, one of my all time favourite arcade games. It turns out I'm still awful at it, but it's super nostalgic for me as it was one of the cabi...

Re: Woo hoo - Collection Completed!! TRS-80 inbound
Well, the TRS-80 didn't power up after my cable work yesterday, so I had a closer look at the PSU, and none of the necessary voltages, so 15-17 VAC and 19-21VDC. I popped the bottom of the PSU case off, which is held on by 4 screws and found a mass of plastic/cardboard insulation: PXL_20231022_11171...
