Re: Stuff and Things.

OK, so my little 5" B&W TV has been playing up, with picture issues, so I thought I'd give it a little TLC. 3 caps later and it seems to have a much nicer image: IMG20240404090036.jpg It also starts straight away instead of needing to warm up. There are some adjustment pots that I need to t...

Re: Atari 1040stf screen on off on low and medium resolution high ok

Hi all, yes it is an LCD TV. My upscaler has only RCA input and HDMI Out. I also tried to connect an ATARI 13 pin to the RCA input of the upscaler to see if this brings up an picture via the HDMI input of my TV, but no picture. So, what could be the solution here. I don't want to add any components...

Re: Atari 1040stf screen on off on low and medium resolution high ok

hi forum, I need your insight pls. I have acquired a 1040stf with SM124 and wanted to try the color modes and connected the computer via SCART to my TV. The picture in low and medium is surprisingly good. However, in both color resolutions the screen goes black and after a few seconds comes back th...

Re: General Stuff(tm)

I've replied: In which case could I please cancel my order. The listing explicitly started that there had been nine available and four sold already. If they had not been previously tested and verified working then they should not have been listed as in stock and available and te listing withdrawn. ...

Re: General Stuff(tm)

With the arrival of those two deliveries it's just the adjustable voltage regulator and the PCBs in transit. The ZuluSCSI from eBay still hasn't been dispatched so yesterday I noted with eBay about this and the vendor came back... It turns out that it's AmigaKit again. And the exact same old excuse...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

Well I lifted a leg on the cap and tested it, it is indeed the correct value, 0.01uF. I'll leave the leg lifted until I can get the video fixed and will look at it again then.

The LS163's are from a supplier who I trust so I expect them to be here in the next few days.

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

One other thing I'll be doing once I have this up and running again is to fix the problem of the display being shunted 2 characters to the right, which is very noticeable on the LCD. So I have modded the ROM file at location $7E0 after discussing over at OSIWeb, and once I have some new ROMs (My cur...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

Grrr.... Silly chips. Do you see a signal if you lift the non-chip side of the resistor and/or remove the cap? Annoyingly I didn't get that far before the LS163 in the video circuit decided to go bye bye. I will probably pull one leg of the cap to check the value at least, and I may be able to blin...
