Will you be getting any more of these in stock?
Yes, I am going to start making some more up today, but will be a few days until they reach stock as will need to build and test them etc.

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

In light of recent endeavours.. While this booster is currently requiring linking back to the STE 32MHz clock and new firmware.. Oddly a firmware I created does work at 36MHz.. But this requires the CPU CLK inverting, which means the 8MHz clock is out of phase with the motherboard so I am not happy ...

Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

Surely you've got to get lucky with this st some point, I mean, myself and RJs ones work fine at 40 as you know. Is it working with a hard drive though ? RJ's isn't, but its passed millions of loops on GB6 at 40MHz. The hard drive issue should actually be fixed now anyway. Is trying to work out why...

Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

So the plot thickens.. After endless missing about.. I now have the Atmel GAL working on the integrated blitter motherboard with the STE's 32MHz clock. Now for the 36MHz clock.. I'm extremely limited by what I can do with this design, the only way to work is if I invert the 8MHz clock. Speed test wh...

Re: DiagROM for ST

Ya know I've been doing this for 30 years and I've never seen an eprom get the thumbs up after programing and not work in the target hardware. Maybe an issue in the socket? Oh well one should never work with only one eprom. Some ROMs don't even work in the ST. Texas ROMs for some reason have always...

Re: exxos IDE interface (untested)

In single 512byte transfers even PC can't do more than 150K/sec. But larger writes can be DMA or multiworld transfers which I don't think ST supports. PC will read timings from the CF card so it does proper timings. Most ST interfaces "hard hack" the timings and hope for the best. Read speeds are of...

Any tests with xferrate ?
We haven't done any benchmarks because we need to build a proper prototype first. Transfer rate is based on CF card more than interface anyway.

Looks awesome! Great work! How much space does the board require? Will it still be possible to use the internal keyboard in its regular position?
This is just a test board for us to beta test. Likely a final board will be smaller.

Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

I had a thought that I started using Atmel GAL's, so for the hell of it I put back a lattice GAL.. And now the problematic integrated blitter board now seems stable  And yet, the Atmel GAL works fine on the external blitter boards  Even though speed of the GAL has never made any differen...
