Re: FRAM 8MB Upgrade Alternate Ram ...

I have Schematics from a nice 8MB Alternate Ram for all Atari ST. May be Exxos can make something out of it ... Thanks for sharing Frank. I've design several fast-ram boards already, but simply no time to build and test any of them. Its easy addon for boosters as already have PLD on there.. but I n...

Re: PD disks merlin, lapd, budgie etc

Prob best make a image of them because once there gone there gone, there's no guarantee at the min there's another copy out there, if you find some missing disks out there could at least combine them make a collection. Yeah, was some good stuff in goodmands pdl, there's a few floppies in the mix he...

PD disks merlin, lapd, budgie etc

Is the budgie UK disks about somewhere ? I thought I had them all but can't find them.. Have a box of what looks like compilation disks and wondering if worth bothering to image them or not... I also have various Merlin, LAPD.. and some others I never heard of, I half recall there was collections at...

Gasteiner Atari Hard Drive 200MB

Very good condition and tested & working (no bad sectors) a couple years ago. Has space for a second drive also. I just don't use this thing anymore so looking for it to have a good home. IIRC I formatted it to a couple of partitions but you would have your own HDD software to format and partition i...

FS UK - 2 REFRUB BLACK 144 FLOPPY DRIVES

I've been working though "the pile".. and have 2 alps black drives which don't seem to support all extended formats. They have been cleaned up etc and modded for ST use. They max out at 20S/82T & 11S/80T. Work fine for most formats but not "good enough" to make it to my store. So £20 for the 2 (excl...

STFM C070789 6 CHIP TO 2 CHIP CONVERSION

On later motherboards where the TOS ROM's are in a row as shown on the images below, these motherboards can be converted to 2 chip TOS. Generally 6 chip was was V1.00 & TOS1.02 and later versions of TOS were generally 2 chip with TOS1.04 (but also TOS1.04 can be 6 chip!) . There are many combination...

STF 6 CHIP ROM LOCATIONS

Just a quick post to document the locations of the ROM's under the PSU.. I find it confusing what ROM goes where, so here's where they all go! Some older machines have 6 chip TOS installed. Generally I would recommend using one of my TOS adapters and upgrading to TOS104. However on some machines it ...

STE TOS 1.06/1.62 to TOS 2.06 EPROM UPGRADE

One of the easier and semi-popular STE upgrades is upgrading the TOS to 2.06. TOS2.06 is the last TOS version for ST/STE computers which include various bug fixes, 1.44 MB disk support (you still need a floppy upgrade kit to use 1.44 floppy's) , memory test. Adds GTP program support (GEM-Takes-Param...

Re: WD1772-0202 - overheats at 16MHz

Yeah I had the same thinking, so I did, but it didn't :D Actually it confuses me a bit, so I'm leaving the door open for something else to be the issue here but I have really no idea what it could be then. You can send me your 1772s for testing if it helps... can soon tell you how reliable they are...
