Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

As Ijor pointed out with the slow SND DTACK issues on the STFM, he says this issue was fixed on the STE. I think I should say that I am not 100% sure about that. All I know is I can see the modification and the fix at the STE MCU combo internal schematics (the schematics that Christian recovered). ...

Exxos, out of curiosity does your fast rom adaptor have the high byte in the most significant byte of the word? Guess its time to try 8 bit roms.
Low bytes are first. So it goes LO HI LO HI. Nothing has been swapped out with them.

V1.5 booster compatibility issues with ultrasatan

V1.5 booster. https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1018 STABILITY ISSUES V1.5 There seems to be a mixed bag of if the integrated blitter motherboards work or not. As such I am not recommending fitting the V1 or V1.5 plug in booster to those type of motherboards. HARD DRIVE ISSUES ...

Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

The board I have been using is the integrated with the kind and it is the one I am having all sorts of weird issues with.. So I dug out another degraded board tried the booster on that one and still getting all kinds of weirdness. Mostly just random lock-ups for no reason at all. I moved to a third ...

Re: Which tos for the TF530 on a stf?

I've had to drill out via's in the past because of such issues  thankfully there was no inner layers , only top and bottom, so I got away with it.

Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

My parts are all here now, so there should be no issue in me trying out the process, hopefully in a couple of days. I guess we'll see how it likes the STEs 32Mhz feed and new firmware. My machine is now acting up even with the STE's 32MHz..   Something must be bad on my test mach...

Re: STe booster v 1.5 36Mhz

I have been looking into this issue still and is really bizarre.. It's like one day I can do some code which does not work, and I make some changes, and that code then works fine basically all day. I go back to the machine the next day and the code that was working no longer works, and the code whic...

Checked the burn in the 16 bit eprom and all the text is readable so its not byte reversed.. This has to be something stupid!!
Post the file here and I will byteswap it for you if needs be.

Not using a cart, using it as the boot rom. Took out the tos rom and put in DiagROM, applied power gray screen, no serial.. same all computers.
Maybe your programmer is byte swapping the ROMs ?

Re: DiagROM for ST

Hmm, makes me think I'm getting soft in the melon..Tried it in 2 mega's and a ST. All three booting no issue 1.04. Run the atari DiagROM cart first to insure I have no issues with serial...? I don't need to hold down a key or something? hmmm, I've not tried the cart version yet I think... You may b...
