Re: Floppy Support

This one is a lot better.. Screw fits through this time, and I managed to get a knife blade down the slots as well.. I think the filament speed I have probably loaded fraction too much as it almost looks like there is a crackdown side.. But I also lowered the temperature of the head a little bit as ...

Are you prining direct, or creating a print file in Cura? Cura has a Z Hop option.
I'm not using cura, I am using flashprint... I dont know if cura supports my printer or not.. franky was to lazy to go looking, but flashprint seems to be fine (pretty much) which came with the printer.

By moving I mean when it stops printing and moves to the next point to start printing again. It may not get much chance to do a Z Hop on a small piece like this.
All yeah, that's what I mean, I don't think there is a option this what I have found so far :(

It looks like hot air scorching. My experience with hot air and these old fibreglass boards is that they de-laminate very easily, and are very prone to scorching.

BTW I see you have retraction, but do you also have Z Hop? That will lift the nozzle slightly when it moves to prevent snagging.
I cant see anything to lift the head while its moving :(

Re: Floppy Support

I think I can see the printing problem is, it prints one side of the post, then shoots across the other side basically catching the part it has just printed.. it really needs to pause like 10 seconds between printing layers or something  The post on the right is the current one, looks a lot c...

Re: What on earth is this?

probably just red hot flux which "exploded" during manufacture would be my first guess. Some flux sets like epoxy!

Forum "slogan" update ?

Should this be updated now ? Boosting your Atari since 1994! Come and join the party :) As terrible fire correctly mentioned a few days ago, this forum is more of a retro hardware forum and of course isn't limited to just Atari machines any more. Back when the forum was created, I only really though...
