If anyone wants to talk about OS alternatives /branches then please open new topic.

Re: Heatsink with integrated fan

If all else fails and you cant get that, what about aluminium tape cut to shape and stacked up? I don't think tape is very conductive, and probably a fire risk :P What about thermal adhesives and some copper coins and creative modeling/modification using a file? I don't think glue is very conductiv...

Re: Heatsink with integrated fan

I had the ATX PSU fan blowing over the whole CT60 during testing of the CPUs. at 95MHz the CPU would overheat after about 30mins with no heatsink or fan. The fan got me some more run time onto that, but the CPU was pretty much burning hot. A smaller fan on the CPU might hold up better, but there was...

Re: Ordering the Alpha board

Last chance to get a board.

I hope the boards will be ordered in the next few hours. Those who paid will have their names as supporters on the PCB :) Looks like 15 will be ordered, 2 will be in the sore (or 1 if I take 2 boards myself)..

Re: Thought of the day..

As everyone "moaned" about it on the shelf...

Can keep a better eye on it there.. plus I need to "hang" the filament spool somewhere, so the bottom of the shelf above it will probably work fine for that now :)

Re: Falcon hardware on a ST.

Looking at this... http://www.vlsi.fi/en/products/vsmd001.html It says it can use serial Flash.. Not really good for instantly changing sounds, but I wonder if could be adapted for serial RAM instead. Would really want to go with parallel interfacing make life a lot easier data transfer  EDIT ...

Re: Falcon hardware on a ST.

Quite strange as I was thinking about using a ARM on a Raspberry Pi type board to offload/emulate hardware last week, like a video card, soundcard or FPU did some looking into it and well gave up  Adding a Pi would mean we could add massive amounts of stuff very easily, I mean just look at cos...

Re: Falcon hardware on a ST.

The Falcon DSP has external RAM, it would be super simple to connect to a ST, can almost put anything on the bus. Question is how much people would be prepared to program for it. Sure we can have tracker music playing higher quality without any CPU usage, but we don't really have people working on n...
