Hmm, from the kickstart side the only real difference i can think off between an A500 and an A600 is the cardresource.device that is loaded dynamicly and the memory mapping. IMHO the HAKKO is probably the best of the list(but it's ugly), for high end i would go for JBL.

The tips are important and you can get a lot of different ones for the HAKKO.

Keep in mind that it could just be and issue with the seating of the Agnus in the socket of perhaps a little corrosion.

Otherwise you could throw away a possible perfectly usable Agnus (after cleaning)
