Re: Tidying up a Falcon & CT60 combo (power supply & drive)
The cookie jar is initialised by the TOS and placed in low RAM by default. There could be a number of reasons involved but as you had trouble with content of the flash, it isn't a bad guess to start there. Try what exxos suggested. Also, when you see such an error, immediately fire up some app to te...

Re: Tidying up a Falcon & CT60 combo (power supply & drive)
That message box is actually indication of a very serious problem: your cookie jar (occasionally, it seems) doesn't contain the _MCH value or it is not equal to 0x30000. This check is done in the CPX, CT60TEMP.ACC and XBIOS itself (where it checks also for _CPU and 68060). Don't ask me how this is p...

Re: Hatari on Atari
stephen_usher : yeah, that's like the imaginary holy grail of emulation on our small platform. It sounds great in theory but in practice it would be way less usable than you'd expect. Many games, demos basically switch to supervisor, access hardware directly (even for no or little reason) and after...

Re: Wiki dead links
Sure, I do it all the time -- when I find a dead link, I try to google its current version and replace with wayback as the last resort. Just make it online.

Re: Falcon Restoration Project
That's definitely good news. You've got basically basic RGB output from Videl. The most common state with black screens is getting "out of sync" on monitor and bye. Perhaps ROM and/or RAM is not getting its chance to do something further. You could try the diagnostic cartridge + serial out...

Interestingly, ebay.com / de / co.uk / fr / whatever always syncs your account with all the purchases.

Re: TT won't boot; "flashing" white screen pink square
You wont find anything specific in the service manual except what stephen_usher told you: diagnostic cartridge here is key. That magenta doesn't come from software, so it looks like a hardware fault (TTVIDEO, MCU etc). However there's still chance that the diagnostic cartridge will boot and show som...

Re: Atari YouTube channels or videos
That can be indeed tricky. Perhaps at least categories like "Atari only", "Games", "Hardware", that should be pretty stable per channel.
