Re: General Stuff(tm)

So, the second Kaypro 4... Powering on I thought the display wasn't working as it seemed blank even with the brightness turned right up... until I turned the lights off. Unfortunately this particular monitor board (unlike the one in the other Kaypro) has all the adjustments right in the middle of t...

Re: Getting to the end of collecting - Sam Coupe

Coming from a family of horders I am aware of things I need to watch. I have to set rules, say that if I've got something then it needs to be on display so (in theory) I can take it off the shelf get the PSU, controller and video cable and use it. @rubber_jonnie PC Engine (Core Grafx 2) was one of ...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

Yeah... if they're decent ones without massive errors. (Not thinking about Bomarc Mac schematics at all, honest! ;-) ) Having used the Bomarc Mac Classic schematics, I know exactly where you're coming from... Thankfully there is a good set in the service manual, the only problem being that they are...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

OK, so my successes over the weekend have made me want to get back to this project, so time to dig out the schematics and work out what IC's make up the video circuit to see if I can get a stable signal. I know that there is a video signal that changes based on what I do with reset, but by the same ...

Re: A Grand Day Out

My C128D is connected to a VGA monitor by that Adaptor I pointed you to RJ and using that it took ages to get the Lumafix right, coming back to it on a couple of different occasions. One interesting fact is that the Open128 board that's now in my C128D has a really good picture without the Lumafix....

Re: A Grand Day Out

If anything I preferred the "before" as it was crisper. I just took the LumaFix64 out as it just seemed to make things worse. I don't entirely disagree, but I'm not done yet. Will spend a bit more time on it I think and I'll see if I can improve it, but I do think I need to see if I can g...
