Re: RJs Adventures in Mega land III

Wow, that is tight. I'll look into that again, I think. Cheers DoG.

The frame I picked up was original Atari. Sold as working, clearly not but I got it cheap so oh well. Same type of failure as my other MegaST and an older FM. Of the three I have, all stuffed. Low voltage under load.

Re: Top of the pile

With so many ST's I'm still recapping seemingly ad infinitum. Also taken on an A600 and Vampire for a mate which means I'm looking at recapping a couple of A500 PSU's too. It's getting right out of hand. I picked up another STE motherboard and PSU so I now have two in need of cases. Not sure how thi...

Re: RJs Adventures in Mega land III

Bugger. I've got a meanwell rd-65 I picked up while I was working at Jaycar last year. Its great but too big to fit in the Mega. The power connectors are the same between the ST and Mega. I just desoldered the AC side and badda bing. The Megafile frame is different again...... I guess I got lucky ge...

Interesting, I'll be keeping an eye on this one. I haven't touched my Ooom kakala Mega till I can square some ST's away.

Re: Stuff and Things.

NZ's South island to here took six weeks, from the UK to AU from Exxos was a month. I think it just depends how the wind takes it. Tracking has been abysmally wrong too, I wouldn't hold too much to that. I want to get more from the Exxos store but decided to finish my PSU recapping before embarking ...

Re: Stuff and Things.

Its coming good down here. Melbourne can vary between a few days or a few weeks. NZ just add four weeks to be safe..... It isn't really a black hole, more of a giant capacitor.

Re: Stuff and Things.

From home (NZ) to here, usually only takes a week. ;-)

I've been on the hunt for a 7800 for a while, trying to find an unmolested one to molest isn't easy.

Re: Top of the pile

Keeping track of everything is getting to be hard work. I've been recapping all the ST power supplies I have. List goes like this; Mitsumi SR98 x 2 ASPF34-4 x1 Tokin x1 DVE DSP-508A x1 The DVE is the only one I could get HV caps for locally. Its working a treat now. Interestingly the supplies with t...
